India is known for it’s different types of languages spkoen, religion, culture and also varieties of food. Every state has it’s own tradition, culture and languages, also the food changes with the change in state. Every state has it’s own specific popularity. 

Even the food plays an important role. Like in Jharkhand the famous food is ‘Duska’, ‘Chila’; in Bihar ‘ litti chokha’ is one the most famous popular dish. It also loved by most of the people in every part of the India. Also if we see in South side of the India the famous food is ‘Idli’, ‘Sambar Vada’, ‘Dosa’. These dishes are mostly found in different states. Also nowadays the people makes at the home for their breakfast or lunch. There is a lot of types of ‘Dosa’ is being invented by the people and everyone is loving it. Like ‘Rawa Dosa’, ‘Masala Dosa’, ‘Plain Dosa’, ‘Schezwan Dosa’, ‘Schezwan Cheese Dosa’ etc. If we see the area like Gujarat, Rajasthan the famous food is ‘Dhokla’, ‘Phaphra’ etc. Also ‘Momos’ is one of the most famous and popular dish in all over India. 







The most and the oldest dish or snack which people still loves to eat is “Samosa”. It is one the oldest snack which people mostly eat during the evening time. It is also cheap and affordable and also it has different types like Chinese samosa in which fillings are done of chowmein. Also ‘Samosa Chat’ is one of the most tasty snack consist of different flavours like tangy, sweet, spicy, salty. Sweet Samosa is also the famous sweet which is mostly found in some of the states like Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh. 

Samosa is famous among every age groups. It is one of the family snack. It is also made at home and enjoy by the family members. 

Samosa is made of white flour, potatoes and some masalas. It is crunchy, soft in texture. It is sweet, tangy, salt and spicy in taste. It takes around 45-60 minutes for overall cooking. 

Let’s have a look on ingredients and steps to make the Samosa. 

Ingredients Required:- 

  • White flour 
  • Potates 
  • Garam masala
  • Onion
  • Tomatoes
  • Cumin seeds
  • Carom seeds
  • Turmeric
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Ground nuts
  • Paneer
  • Red Chilli powder

 Steps to make dough. 

  1.  Take one bowl of white flour. 
  2. Add 3-4 table spoon of oil and add 1/2 tea spoon of carom seeds in it. Mix it well.
  3. Now add water. Mix it well and make a tight soft dough. Keep it aside for 20 minutes.

Steps to make Samosa filling. 

  1. Boil 8-10 potatoes.
  2. Now peel off the potatoes and mash it nicely.
  3. Put a pan on the flame. Let it get hot. 
  4. Add oil and then add cumin seeds. 
  5. Now add 3-4 fine chopped onions and 2 chopped tomatoes in it. Saute it for 4-5 minutes.
  6. Add little bit of ground nuts and 6-10 small chopped cubes of panner. 
  7. Add mashed potatoes in it. And fry it for 10-15 minutes. 
  8.  Now add 1/2 table spoon of turmeric, 1/2 table spoon of garam masala. 
  9. Add salt as per taste. 
  10. Fry it for 15 minutes. Mix some chopped coriander leaves. 

Steps to make the Samosa. 

  • Take a small ball of dough.
  • Roll it in a ovel shape. 
  • Now cut the ovel shape roll in a equal part in  horizontal. 
  • Now take one part of the roll, add water in the corner of the roll part and shape it like a cone. Now make the second roll in same way. 
  • Repeat for all the dough. 
  • Now take one spoon of filling and add it in the cone. 
  • Close the roll nicely. 
  • The samosa is ready in triangular shape. 

Steps to fry the samosa.

  • Let the pan get hot for around 10-15 minutes. 
  • Add oil as per the requirement ( so that samosa can be fried nicely). 
  • After the gets hot (10-15 minute).
  • Add the samosa and fry it till it gets golden fried colour.
  • The samosa is easy. Enjoy the hot samosa with sauce, chutney or evening chai.
