Poha is a popular snack of Indore (Madhya Pradesh). Indore is famous for its wide range of street food. Poha is part of the famous street food. People out there loves to eat Poha. Here people loves to eat poha with jalebi. Indore Poha is sour-sweet in taste. 

Poha first originated in Maharashtra. And slowly it became famous all other states like Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Telangana. 

How  Poha is helpful for our body? 

Poha is made of flattered rice/ partly cooked paddy. 

It is not only light but also easily digest in stomach. 

It is also a wholesome meal. 

It is a good source of energy and healthy carbohydrates.

Also it is beneficial for the people who are in a workout and want to lose weight. 

About Poha Puri:- 

It is a deep fried puri made of poha. An Indian traditional cuisine. It is a spicy, sour and sweet in taste with a mixture of street food style in taste. 

Nowadays, there is a variety of recipe according to the state and people.  

In my personal experience, it is a street style food snack which can be eaten during breakfast and evening. We can eat this with chai(tea) or chutney. 

On the daily basis, we can have this twice or thrice a week. 

So let’s know the recipe of Poha Puri. 

The Ingredients required:-

  • Poha:- 1bowl 
  • White flour:- 2 tbs 
  • Rice floor:- 2 tbs
  • Chat masala:- 1tbs 
  • Red chilli powder:- 1/2 tbs
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Coriander leaves
  • Curry leaves:- 3-4 

Steps to make the dough:- 

  1. Wash the poha and let the water dry for 3-4 minutes. 
  2. Now add the white flour and rice flour in it. 
  3. Add red chilli powder. 
  4. Add chat masala and then add salt as per taste.
  5. Now add curry leaves and coriander leaves in it(chopped).
  6. Now add little bit of oil in it. 
  7. And lastly add water and mix it well. 
  8. Add water to make the dough. 
  9. The dough is ready. 

Steps to make the Poha Puri:- 

  1. Take one small bowl of dough and roll it.
  2.  Make it in a shape of puri. 
  3. Place the pan on the flame. After it gets hot add oil.
  4. Now fry the Poha Puri until it gets crunchy golden brown colour. 
  5. After it get fried, place it in a plate. 
  6. Serve this with chutney. 

Enjoy this hot poha puri. Serve to 3-4 people.

“Crunchy bread slice pakoda”

It is a crunchy-soft and salty flavour snack food. It is an Indian cuisin. This is the snack which can be eaten during the evening time also it can be easily carried during travelling. It is spicy, salty in taste. 

Cook time:- 15-20minutes
Total time:- 25 minutes
Serve:- 3-4 people

Ingredients Required:- 
  • Rice flour:- 1 bowl 
  • Bread:- 8-10 slice
  • Onion:- 1
  • Green chilli, Ginger-garlic paste:- 1tbs
  • Turmeric
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Water

Steps to make the batter.

  • Take a bowl. Add rice flour in it.
  • Add chopped onion and green chilli, ginger garlic paste. 
  • Add turmeric as per your requirement and a salt as per taste. 
  • Add water, mix it well and make a thick paste. 
  • The batter is ready.

Steps to fry the bread. 

  • Cut all the bread slice into a small pieces. 
  • Keep the pan on the medium flame. 
  • When the pan gets hot add oil.
  • Now add bread pieces and fry till it get fried nicely.
  • Take out and keep it aside.

Steps to make the ‘crunchy bread slice pakoda’

  1. Keep the pan on the flame.
  2. Add oil as per the requirement. The oils should be in a large amount so that the pakoda can be fried easily and nicely. 
  3. Now take one piece of bread and dip in the batter and then put in the oil. Continue this with the rest of the bread pieces.
  4. Keep the flame at the medium. 
  5. Fry it till it gets golden brown colour in it. 
  6. Take out and serve this with coriander leaves chutney. 
  7. If you want you can add chat masala as per your taste.

  • Potatoes:- 5-6 boiled potatoes
  • Cheese:- 1 small cup 
  • Onion:- 1
  • Water

  • Green chilli:- 2
  • Turmeric

How to make a dough for aloo paratha?

  • Take I bowl of flour in a plate.
  • Now put little bit of water and mix it. Repeat this till it become a thight dough.
  • Do not pour too much of water.
  • The dough should be soft, thight so that we can take on small ball of it nicely.
  • The dough is ready. Close and keep it aside. 

How to make the fillings for aloo paratha?

  • Mash the boiled potatoes. 
  • Now put the pan on the flame. Let it get hot.
  • Now add oil in it.
  • Chop the onion and green chilli.
  • Add in the pan. And it for 5 minutes.
  • Now add mashed potatoes. 
  • Add salt as per taste and turmeric a pinch. 
  • Fry it for 10-15 minutes. 
  • The fillings is ready. 

How to make aloo cheese pratha?

  • Take a one small ball of dough. Make a space in a middle of the ball to add the fillings.
  • Add the fried potatoes and then add cheese in it.
  • Close the ball and roll it in a shape of small chapati. 
  • Place a tawa on the flame. After it gets hot add the rolled pratha on it.
  • After 2 minutes turn the pratha. 
  • Again after 2 minutes add oil on it and then turn and again put oil on the pratha. 
  • Cook it for 2-3 minutes. 
  • The aloo cheese pratha is ready.
  • Repeat the same method. 
  • Serve this hot pratha with chutney or dahi.

                      मावा गुजिया रेसिपी (Mawa gujiya Recipe)

·        डो बनाने के लिए:

·        मैदा

·        1 टेबल स्पून घी

·        पानी

·        फीलिंग बनाने के लिए:

·        2/3 कप खोया

·        3 टी स्पून घी

·        डीप फ्राई करने के लिए तेल

·        1/2 कप सूखे अंजीर

·        1/2 कप खजूर, टुकड़ों में कटा हुआ

·        10 काजू, टुकड़ों में कटा हुआ

·        10 बादाम, टुकड़ों में कटा हुआ

·        10 अखरोट, टुकड़ों में कटा हुआ

मावा गुजिया बनाने की विधि

·        1.मैदे में घी और पानी डालकर थोड़ा सख्त आटा गूंथ लें। 15 मिनट के लिए सूती गीले कपड़े से आटे को ढककर रख दें।

·        2.फीलिंग बनाने के लिए एक नॉनस्टिक पैन में खोया डालकर 3 मिनट के भूनें। फिर इसे ठंडा होने के लिए एक साइड रख दें।

·        3.इसके बाद इसमें अंजीर, काजू, अखरोट, बादाम डालकर अच्छे से मिलाएं।

·        4.मैदे की छोटीछोटी लोईयां बनाकर पूरियों के आकार में बेल लें।

·        5.इसके बीच में तैयार की हुई फीलिंग भरकर किनारों पर पानी लगाकर अच्छे से बंद कर दें और गुजिया की शेप दें।

·        6.एक पैन में तेल गर्म करें और गुजिया को गोल्डन ब्राउन होने तक डीप फ्राई करें।

·        7.जब गुजिया पूरी तरह ठंडी हो जाए तो इसे आप एयरटाइट कंटेनर में भरकर रख सकते हैं।

  • ·        Oil:- 2 tbs
  • ·        Cheese:- 2-3 cubes( Amul cheese)
  • ·        Milk:- 1 cup
  • ·        White flour:- 1tbs
  • ·        Salt
  • ·        Red chilli flakes:- 1tbs

Steps to make white sauce bread:-      

  •  Chop the onion, capsicum, cabbage and tomato in a very thin long pieces.  
  •     Keep the pan on the medium flame. Let it get hot  .
  •    Add oil in it. Now add chopped ingredients and ground nuts.
  •      Fry it for 2-5 minutes.     
  • Cut the bread slices in a small square pieces.
  •      Now add in the same pan and fry it till it get becomes crunchy. Add salt as per taste.

How to make white sauce?

.Take another pan and add milk in it.  

When it starts getting boil add white flour and mix it well.     

After 2-3 minutes add butter and mix well. Let it get mix properly.

·        Now add cheese in it. Stir well.

·        After 5 minutes add salt as per taste and then add chilli flakes in it. Mix it well.

·        The white sauce is ready.

·        It hardly takes 10-15 minutes to make white sauce.

Now the crunchy bread and white sauce is ready.

  • ·        Add the whole fried meal in the white sauce and mix it well. Wait for 2 minutes and then it is ready.

·        Serve this hot white sauce bread.

• Now add sugar and mix it well. Again fry it for 5 minutes.

• Now add milk and mix nicely.

• If you want add chopped dry fruits in it.
